Champion Preparatory Academy incorporates the latest and greatest educational methods in a traditional classroom environment to achieve ideal learning outcomes for students with a variety of interests and aspirations. Our curriculum is STEM focused and allows our students to choose their own path in their education. We strive to imbue our students with the knowledge of the world and the wisdom of the Lord. Our Upper School focuses on college preparation and career content to prime our students for their future.

CPA Offers Many Paths Toward Success

We offer four different diploma options that prepare our students with the information they need to succeed in their pursuit of higher education.

Scholar: A curriculum that features advanced coursework to prepare students for entry into Ivy Leagues and highly competitive universities. 28 credits
Standard: A learning plan that is designed to give students the knowledge to be competitive applicants for a majority of 4-year colleges and universities. 24 credits
Standard Accelerated: A program that is perfect for students who wish to enter a community college or public university after graduation. Providing the possibility of a three-year graduation timeline. 18 credits
Standard Career: Fit for students who wish to pursue a career in a trade or attend a vocational program. 18 credits
Certificate of Participation: Offered to our students who have completed four years of school but do not have the credits required for a diploma.

The Highlights of Our Upper School Programs

Students who attend our upper school will be under the instruction of experienced teachers with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in their discipline. With a teacher/student ratio of 1:15, our students have the advantage of gaining first-hand knowledge and receiving individual attention from their teachers, who are experts in their field. Students will be able to take classes that appeal to their interests and prepare them for the next step in their education.

When your child attends our Upper School, you can be confident that they will have the resources and support needed to achieve their dreams. Specialized Labs – We offer educational labs in course offerings for our STEAM projects such as robotics, 3D printers, and AR/VR computers.
Beta Club - We offer Beta Club for students that have a 3.0 or higher GPA.
Core Academics – We offer all required core academics.
Interesting Electives – Our students deserve a diverse range of electives, and we offer art, entrepreneur, Spanish, theater, basic living, Hope, PE, creative writing, and even engine repair.
Athletics – We pride our school on our Christian athletic programs and offer multiple possibilities for physical activity.

At CPA, our Upper School students are provided with individualized educational pathways to create an education that works for them. We want to encourage positive and enduring relationships with Christ and with knowledge. As a Christian private school, our objective is to not only educate but also inspire our pupils. Faith – Our students’ days start with prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, and a Bible lesson.
Understanding – Students who struggle are offered the opportunity to attend the S.T.A.R. program tailored to aid them in any subject they have trouble understanding.
Attention – Our students have small class sizes and have more time for one-on-one attention if necessary.
Progression – Students that are accelerated learners are able to utilize our Independent Learning Center to further their education at their own pace.
Flexibility – Our Upper School students are offered dual enrollment and are encouraged to work toward their AS degree at Seminole State or Valencia College.

A Typical Academic Week for Our Upper School Students

Our school week at Champion Preparatory Academy is a one-of-a-kind school experience. We make sure to cater to our students’ academic needs and create a schedule that meets all their requirements. Our school week at CPA is as follows:

Monday – We start our week with a focus on academic enrichment and work on our STEAM principles. For energy boosts, our Upper School students participate in PE to increase their fitness and have fun in the fresh air.

Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday – Our middle of the week days, are utilized in focusing on our core academic course offerings. Our educators use their expertise to create lessons that pair technology and traditional teacher instruction. Students rotate to specialty teachers for all their subjects. Our students use these days to finish classwork and work on fundamental concepts. Students also participate in PE each school day.

Friday – Our final day of lessons for the week consists of very little classwork and homework. Students may finish their assignments at home or in our study hall. Full-time students are required to attend Friday study hall to finish their assignments.

Dual Enrollment

Champion Preparatory Academy encourages students who are in good academic standing to enroll in college level courses at Seminole State or Valencia College or with our online Snow College. Starting in their Junior year, students who have a GPA of 3.0 and above have the opportunity to get a head start on their college degree. Completed college credits will also count towards their high school graduation.
